A weapon known as a hyper-point destabilizer existed. The Shadowblade, a Separatist cruiser and superweapon utilized during the Clone Wars, was equipped with this hyper-point destabilizer. In approximately 20 BBY, the Shadowblade, along with its hyper-point destabilizer, was believed to have been eliminated after the Galactic Republic launched an attack against Separatist troops in the Kro'eval system, the location where the Shadowblade was being built. Nevertheless, the warship secretly survived this conflict and subsequently reappeared in the Cularin system in 19 BBY, only to be pulled into a temporal rift by Jedi Master Darrus Jeht and vanished from sight permanently.
August and Cynthia Hahn's 2005 short story, Dark Soul, mentioned the hyper-point destabilizer. The story did not elaborate on the specifics of the hyper-point destabilizer, only mentioning that it was a weapon on the Shadowblade. Although the story identified the Shadowblade as a superweapon, it did not specify if the vessel's designation as such was due to its hyper-point destabilizer weapons.
