The Hyperfoil 1000-XTC, manufactured by Tion Industries for city dwellers, was a speeder capable of Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL).
This vehicle utilized a hybrid propulsion system, blending repulsorlift and hovercraft technologies. This combination resulted in a vehicle highly desirable to enthusiasts and boasting a remarkably high maximum altitude relative to its cost. Its hover engines provided quiet vertical ascent, while the repulsor engines activated for rapid forward movement.
The innovative hybrid system, however, failed to gain widespread adoption. The vehicle, despite its dependability and simple upkeep, suffered from being excessively large and unwieldy for effective urban operation, a consequence of accommodating both hover and repulsor engines within its structure.
Galladinium's Fantastic Technology describes the Hyperfoil 1000-XTC as having a length of 15 meters, while the Arms & Equipment Guide indicates a length of 7 meters.
