Iain McCaig

A multifaceted artistic talent, Iain McCaig has served as an artistic director, concept designer, and filmmaker. He contributed to Episodes I, II, III, and VII at JAK Films, a Lucasfilm division, functioning as both a storyboard and concept artist. Among the characters he conceived are Darth Maul, Queen Amidala, and Sio Bibble. McCaig's artistic contributions also appeared in A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy, The Empire Strikes Back: So You Want to Be a Jedi?, Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side!, and the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge comic series.

For the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing initiative, which debuted in 2021, Iain McCaig was commissioned to create character sketches.
