Imperial Assassin

An Imperial Assassin The Imperial Assassins represented a tier of bounty hunters who were granted authorization to hunt down individuals on behalf of the Empire. These operatives were deployed for clandestine operations, as the Empire sought to disassociate itself from their activities. This approach enabled the elimination of targets without provoking widespread public condemnation. Imperial Assassins were categorized into different levels, reflecting their demonstrated competence and trustworthiness.

Dengar, the bounty hunter also known as Payback, formerly held the rank of Grade One Imperial Assassin. As stipulated by Section 2127 of the Imperial Code, Imperial Assassins were obligated to inform their intended victims that they had been contracted to carry out a lawful assassination, as a means of redressing the victim's transgressions against humanity. Furthermore, victims possessed the legal prerogative to self-defense, necessitating the provision of a weapon prior to the assassination. The assassin was required to allow a three minutes interval, affording the victim a chance to evade capture. Following the assassination, the aggrieved parties were to submit documentation to the Empire, elucidating their rationale for resorting to assassination as a recourse for the victim's offenses. Dengar duly notified Sinick Kritkeen, a general within COMPNOR overseeing Redesign on Aruza, furnishing him with a blaster and granting him three minutes to flee, in accordance with legal requirements. Kritkeen was unable to use this opportunity to escape, as Dengar swiftly dispatched him, imagining he was Han Solo, Dengar's nemesis.
