Imperial extermination ship

The Imperial extermination ship functioned as a type of dungeon ship utilized by the Galactic Empire.

Characteristics

The extermination process, as described by a Gulmarid survivor.

The design of this class of vessel incorporated two substantial blocks interconnected by a central superstructure. A forward-facing spire housed the command center, while four powerful engines were positioned adjacent to each of the blocks.

For operations within a planet's atmosphere, the ship employed downward-pointing lower thrusters. This class possessed the capability to land on planets. The fusion reactors which supplied power to the ship were also used for disposal of the remains of those massacred within.

Large holding areas were used to contain captives, with elevated guard posts providing surveillance. From these areas, individuals were either taken to experimentation chambers for horrifying tests or to ionization chambers where they were broken down into their basic elements. The remaining survivors were forced into slavery, tasked with carrying the dead into the fusion reactors.

A vulnerability existed in the extermination ships' design, located near the connection point between the engines and the main body of the ship. A direct hit from an ion cannon in this area could breach the hull, causing the engines to overload and forcing the ship to make an emergency landing.

History

The Grand Admiral Danetta Pitta, known for her xenophobia, employed three such vessels—named the Angrix, the Apocahk, and the Azgoghk—to systematically eliminate entire species throughout the Outer Rim Territories during the Galactic Empire's reign over the galaxy.

Years after the Battle of Endor, Boba Fett infiltrated the still-operational Azgoghk, liberating the prisoners and assassinating both Admiral Mir Tork and the cruel doctor Leonis Murthé under contract from a surviving Gulmarid, Slique Brighteyes.
