Like other training facilities for the Guard, the Academy was a covert installation that also functioned as a stronghold for Imperial Guardsmen, tasked with safeguarding the nearby [Temple of Sacrifice] (/article/temple_of_sacrifice) for the Emperor. In the course of the Galactic War, the Order of Revan launched an assault on the Academy, resulting in damage to both the structure and the adjacent terrain.
