The Sentientology Studies Imperial Liaison Officer was a Galactic Empire bureaucratic role. Major Vontenn occupied this position at some point during the Galactic Civil War. While this officer was in the role, Obo Rin, a sentientologist commissioned by the Empire to author the Catalog of Intelligent Life in the Galaxy—a reference work detailing the various sentient species in the galaxy—dispatched a communication. Within this message, Obo Rin included the manuscript for a revised version of his work, and the researcher conveyed his hope that Vontenn would find the expanded material to be of value. Furthermore, Obo Rin requested that the officer extend his sympathies to the family of Major Herrit, an Imperial Intelligence officer who had died during a mission intended to further Obo Rin's research.
