The ISO building
ISO, or Imperial Security Operations, functioned as a division of the Imperial Security Bureau within the structure of the Galactic Empire. Located in Imperial City on Coruscant, it served as the core for the Empire's clandestine operations and intelligence activities.
The primary facility boasted top-tier security measures, maintaining a state of constant high alert. An elevator from the roof gave access to a highly secured vault situated far beneath the structure. This vault contained a reader capable of deciphering Imperial encrypted codes stored on nava cards, among other digital storage devices. Gaining unauthorized access to this machine was exceedingly difficult; any individual attempting to reach the terminal without proper clearance had to navigate an intricate arrangement of concentric rings. These rings were segmented by gates, which were, in turn, managed by switches positioned along the outermost corridor. Typically, Imperial Officers, stationed around the perimeter, would remotely activate these switches, ensuring robust security. Reaching the central core necessitated prior authorization from all six security officers.
In an effort to decode a nava card he had previously acquired from Nar Shaddaa, Kyle Katarn successfully infiltrated the building. He then proceeded to write the current hyperspace route of the Executor onto a series of data disks, with the ultimate goal of pinpointing the clandestine location of the Arc Hammer.
