A nava card NavCards, also referred to as Nava cards, functioned as a medium for the storage of astrogation and coordination information.
During the events of the Dark Trooper campaign, while Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors were in search of the Arc Hammer, Ors hypothesized that they might discover Imperial navigational devices or charts used by the smugglers involved in the Dark Trooper project, which could aid them in locating the Arc Hammer.
During his mission to Nar Shaddaa, Katarn came across an Imperial nava card that detailed the activities of all smugglers. This card held navigational coordinates for a Nava computer, but it was encrypted using an Imperial military protocol and could only be deciphered by inserting it into a decryption key box.
Following Katarn's acquisition of the card, Jabba the Hutt apprehended the agent duo, and his enforcers seized the Card, taking it aboard his ship. However, Katarn fought to retrieve it. Katarn ended up at the Imperial Security Operations Building on Coruscant, as it was the only location where he could insert the nava card into a decoder to access data chips containing supplementary information, which he then recorded onto datatapes.
