Imperial Special Forces commandos, alternatively called Imperial Special Forces troopers, were elite soldiers within the Galactic Empire. They operated as part of the Imperial Special Forces, focusing on expertise in diverse environments for infiltration, extraction, and combat operations. A prime illustration of such a unit was Inferno Squad, led by Commander Iden Versio.
Special forces troopers received training that enabled them to execute specialized stealth missions. These missions included the retrieval of critical intelligence, the sabotage of essential targets, and the concealing of Imperial secrets through assassinations, and they were proficient in combat, extraction, and infiltration in all environments.
A well-known unit of this type was Inferno Squad, who gained recognition because of their infamous and unusual strategies.
These soldiers were skilled in the use of many different weapons, but they commonly carried an E-11 medium blaster rifle, a DLT-19x targeting blaster, or a T-21 light repeating blaster.
