An Imperial Species Preservation Zone represented a region established by the Galactic Empire with the purpose of safeguarding a particular species. Planets that were subject to this decree were off-limits to travel by non-military personnel.

History

Following its subjugation by the Empire, sometime before the Battle of Yavin, the planet of Dar'Or was designated as an Imperial Species Preservation Zone. Among the creatures shielded by this designation were the winged Ri'Dar, the hunting indola, and the bird-like elix.
