The Independent Provisional Government of Rendili emerged in 20 BBY when it seized control of the planet Rendili, thereby switching its loyalty from the Galactic Republic to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It is believed that the Independent Provisional Government was dissolved soon after, following the capture of the Rendili Home Defense Fleet by a Republic strike force.
