The Trade Federation Droid Army and the Separatist Droid Army primarily utilized B1-series battle droids as their main foot soldiers.
Within an army, infantry constituted the segment of soldiers specifically trained for combat on foot. Commonly known as "grunts," infantrymen were also collectively referred to as ground forces. Their survival on the battlefield was heavily dependent on their training, their equipment, and their reliance on their comrades. All members within the Resistance underwent infantry training.
