Ire Eleazari was a doctor of the Ithorian species, and a male individual. Unbeknownst to Eleazari's fellow herd members of Oosea, Oosea had begun to collaborate with the forces of the Galactic Empire. Due to his cooperation, the Empire commenced the planning phase for constructing a base on the planet of Ithor. Once Oosea's actions were discovered, he falsely accused Ire Eleazari of his crimes. After being wrongly accused, Eleazari was exiled from his herd for a period of 30 seasons, but he subsequently collaborated with Erling Tredway in an effort to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Oosea started working with the Empire to locate and eliminate Eleazari, to prevent him from revealing Oosea's betrayal to the herd, which would have jeopardized the Empire's plans for Ithor.
In the year 0 ABY, Ire Eleazari was in hiding within the Sil'Lume system, specifically in a clandestine asteroid base located at coordinates 506.34-604.342-47.65. While evading Imperial agents, he encountered Luke Skywalker, who was transporting the injured Dena Tredway to his asteroid for medical treatment. Eleazari, being a friend of the Tredway family, agreed to allow Skywalker to land at his base to deliver Dena, but he requested that they depart quickly to avoid attracting unwanted attention to his location. As Skywalker prepared to leave, he was given information by Eleazari regarding how to locate Erling Tredway, Dena's brother, who was being held as a prisoner in the Deathblock on Tol Ado. After Skywalker successfully rescued Erling Tredway, he returned to Eleazari's location and discussed the possibility of Eleazari joining the Rebellion, stating that a doctor would be a valuable asset. However, Eleazari declined to join the Rebel Alliance until he had successfully cleared his name by exposing Oosea's act of treachery.
Troy Denning created Ire Eleazari, and the character made an appearance in one of the role-playing storylines featured in the West End Games role-playing supplement Jedi's Honor, which was released in 1990. Depending on the choices made by the players in the scenario, Skywalker may witness Oosea collaborating with the Imperials, thus revealing his treachery; however, this particular adventure path prevents Skywalker from completing his primary mission. If Skywalker succeeds in completing his mission, Oosea's betrayal remains unexposed at that point, but Eleazari expresses confidence that he will soon gather the necessary evidence to prove Oosea's collaboration with the Empire.
