Irini was a female member affiliated with the Workers group situated on New Apsolon. As a member of the Workers, she aligned herself with those seeking to bring the Absolutes to justice. On the planet, she held a position at the Absolute museum as a tour guide. Irini harbored a strong dislike for the Jedi.
Prior to the arrival of Jedi Masters Tahl and Qui-Gon Jinn on New Apsolon, she was employed within the tech industry. In addition to her work in technology, she managed a Worker-run newspaper, which advocated for change through non-violent means. Despite its peaceful stance, the Absolutes falsely accused the paper of promoting violence, motivated by their fear of the influence it held over the Workers. Consequently, Irini was arrested and detained as a prisoner for half a year.
During her imprisonment, she underwent torture. Among the methods employed by the Absolutes was forcing her to witness the suffering of her fiancé, whom she was set to marry. Before releasing her, they deliberately broke her right hand to prevent her from returning to the tech sector. Unbeknownst to them, Irini was left-handed, rendering their attempt futile as she easily found alternative employment.
Following her release from incarceration, Irini became involved in a movement dedicated to sabotaging the goods that New Apsolon exported to other planets. Their objective was to compel the Civilized to negotiate more favorable terms for the Workers.
In the year 47 BBY, Jedi Masters Tahl and Qui-Gon Jinn played a role in establishing a democratic system of government on the planet.
Subsequently, the Absolutes' former headquarters were transformed into a museum, and Irini was offered a position as a tour guide, given her previous captivity there. With the majority of the Absolutes having fled following the establishment of democracy, Irini joined a faction of Workers determined to bring them to justice.
In 41 BBY, Qui-Gon Jinn revisited the planet accompanied by his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, in search of Tahl, who had disappeared. Irini recognized the Jedi and promptly contacted her group, suspecting that they had been summoned by Roan, the newly appointed Supreme Governor, whom she held in low regard.
Later, she extended her assistance to the Master and Padawan, facilitating their search for Tahl by helping them locate a suitable transport.
