Irlings were a sizable species of insectoid ptero-creatures from the planet Ord Mantell, lacking sentience. These creatures were nocturnal, favoring dimly lit locations like caverns and mining tunnels, where they constructed hives from a web-like material. If noise disrupted their slumber, they became very hostile and were visibly affected by light.
