Ison Trade Corridor

The Ison Trade Corridor, sometimes referred to as simply the Ison Corridor, represented a relatively unimportant hyperlane that diverged from the significantly more important Corellian Trade Spine within the Outer Rim Territories. This route traversed five separate star systems before ultimately rejoining the Spine further towards the Rim. Progressing from Coreward to Rimward, the Ison Corridor included the Varonat, Bespin, Anoat, Hoth, and Ison systems.

The Indellian system (located Coreward) and the Mataou system (situated Rimward) served as the connection points where the Ison Corridor branched off from the Corellian Trade Spine.

The Ison Corridor was generally considered an insignificant and unpromising route, with its constituent systems largely lacking in strategic or economic value. Furthermore, the corridor was susceptible to attacks from pirates. Due to these factors, the Rebel Alliance ultimately chose Hoth as the location for their base following the evacuation of their base on Yavin 4 in the year 0 ABY.

During their travels, the surviving members of Renegade Flight were ambushed by Imperial forces while navigating a nebula. Luke Skywalker, along with the frigate known as the Redemption, provided escort for a convoy of transports as they traveled through the Corridor.

Behind the scenes

The Ison Corridor initially appeared within West End Games's sourcebook, Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin.

The location is featured as a setting for a Versus Mode competition within the game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike.
