Ison Trade Corridor

The Ison Trade Corridor, sometimes shortened to the Ison Corridor, represented a relatively unimportant hyperlane that deviated from the heavily trafficked Corellian Trade Spine within the Outer Rim Territories. This route traversed five distinct star systems before eventually rejoining the Spine further towards the Rim. Proceeding from the Core Worlds towards the Rim, the systems situated along the Ison Corridor included Varonat, Bespin, Anoat, Hoth, and the Ison systems.

Indellian (towards the Core) and Mataou (towards the Rim) were the planetary locations where the Ison Corridor connected to, and branched off from, the Corellian Trade Spine.

The Ison Corridor was generally considered an insignificant and unpromising route, with its constituent systems largely lacking in strategic or economic value. It was also known for being vulnerable to attacks by pirates. Due to these factors, the Rebel Alliance made the decision to establish their base on Hoth following the loss of their previous base on Yavin 4 in the year 0 ABY.

During their journey, the surviving members of Renegade Flight were ambushed by Imperial forces while traveling through a nebula. Luke Skywalker, in conjunction with the frigate named Redemption, provided escort for a convoy of transports as they navigated the Corridor.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of the Ison Corridor occurred in Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin, published by West End Games.

This location is featured as a setting for a Versus Mode match within the game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike.
