Ithes Olok, a male Mon Calamari belonging to the species known for their expertise in xenoarchaeology, was present at the Mensix Mining Facility situated on Mustafar. This occurred during the era of the Galactic Civil War, specifically in the year 1 ABY, according to the male designation.
During that year on Mustafar, Olok's objective was to unearth artifacts associated with Jedi Master Chu-Gon Dar, most notably his cube. This cube was rumored to be imbued with the Force and possess unique combinatory capabilities. After successfully locating the cube, Olok was disappointed to discover that its functionality did not align with his expectations. Consequently, he enlisted the services of a spacer who was visiting the planet to investigate nearby Jedi ruins, believing they contained the key to activating the cube. The spacer journeyed to the ruins and uncovered several ancient tablets that provided detailed information about the cube. Upon returning the tablets to Olok, he was able to activate the cube. As a token of appreciation, Olok gifted the cube to the spacer, stipulating that he would test its capabilities by attempting to combine various "glowing" objects found on Mustafar.
Ithes Olok functioned as a non-player character within the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. He and the planet Mustafar were incorporated into the game in November 2005 with the release of the expansion pack titled Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi-Wan.
The aforementioned "glowing" items represented a collection of objects that players could acquire as loot on Mustafar. These items, which ranged from a comlink to a strand of hair, were believed to possess a Force signature, even though players were not required to be Force-sensitive to detect it. Players could utilize the cube to combine these items, resulting in the creation of various weapons, schematics, and decorative items for their in-game houses.
