The foundation of the Ithorian faith rested upon the veneration of the natural world. Of particular importance to them was "Mother Jungle," a figure embodying the vast jungle that covered their planet. Access to Mother Jungle was restricted to individuals intending to spend their entire lives within it.
The Ithorian belief system was deeply interwoven with their societal structure. A priest, serving concurrently as the herd's healer, guided each Ithorian herd. All priests possessed Force-sensitivity, as did the Oracles, who could perceive Mother Jungle's "call" and journey to her. The supreme priest of the Ithorian faith also held the position of leader of the Ithorian people. Examples of such leaders include Momaw Nadon and Relal Tawron.
