J'uoch

J'uoch, a Human woman from the Tion Hegemony planet of Dellalt, operated a criminal organization with her brother R'all during the Galactic Civil War. Her primary illicit activity involved an illegal mining operation in the mountainous regions of Dellalt, for which she employed considerable amounts of hired help and enforcers. In 2 BBY, J'uoch sought to locate the Queen of Ranroon, a legendary treasure ship. This quest put her at odds with Han Solo, a Corellian smuggler, and his companions, ultimately leading to her end.

Biography

J'uoch, a Human female with a cruel nature, and her twin brother R'all, grew up in harsh conditions, and eventually established a criminal empire on the remote Tion Hegemony world of Dellalt. Their main business was an unlawful mining venture in the Dellalt mountains, requiring a large workforce and hired muscle. Dellalt was a planet with a rich history: it once housed the treasure vaults of Xim, a galactic dictator from the pre-Republic, and was rumored to be the last known location of Xim's treasure ship, the Queen of Ranroon, before it vanished. During the Galactic Civil War era, Lanni Troujow, a worker at J'uoch's mining camp, discovered what she thought was the Queen of Ranroon's log-recorder, an artifact capable of revealing the ship's hidden treasure. J'uoch and her crew, including the formidable Houk enforcer Egome Fass, became very interested in the log-recorder, but Troujow entrusted its location to her sister Hasti and their protector Alexsandr "Trooper" Badure before J'uoch had her people kill her.

The surviving Troujow sister and Badure fled Dellalt in search of assistance in recovering the log-recorder, eventually seeking out Han Solo, an old friend of Badure's who was a Corellian. Solo and his Wookiee first mate Chewbacca returned to Dellalt with Troujow and Badure to locate the log-recorder, but J'uoch was alerted to their arrival by a contact in the local spaceport, allowing her to ambush them as they left the treasure vaults. J'uoch demanded the location of the log-recorder, and when Troujow refused, the confrontation escalated into a firefight. J'uoch's forces significantly outnumbered Solo's group, forcing them to retreat into the fields beyond the port. J'uoch seized Solo's beloved Millennium Falcon as a prize, forcing their enemies to traverse the mountains on foot to reclaim their ship. J'uoch and her gang returned to their mining camp, where they significantly increased security in anticipation of a confrontation. During this period, J'uoch was approached by Gallandro, a renowned gunfighter who held a grudge against Solo—Gallandro agreed to aid J'uoch in her pursuit of the log-recorder, in exchange for the opportunity to confront Solo himself.

Several weeks later, J'uoch's camp was attacked, not by Solo, but by the Survivors, a group of inbred descendants of Xim's honor guard who had remained hidden in the mountains for generations, and the thousand elite war-robots of Xim's ancient Guardian Corps. J'uoch immediately ordered her subordinates to take defensive positions, and a chaotic battle erupted within the mining camp. Solo and his group arrived during the height of the conflict, but J'uoch remained focused on the log-recorder, refusing to negotiate with Solo unless he surrendered the artifact. During the fighting, Solo killed R'all, enraging J'uoch, who launched a fierce attack on Solo on a bridge spanning a deep gorge. Hasti Troujow intervened, blindsiding J'uoch in an attempt to avenge her sister. Troujow then pushed J'uoch over the edge of the bridge, resulting in her death and ending her attempt to acquire the Queen of Ranroon.
