Approximately around 10 BBY, C-3PO found himself within Jagoda's legal court, where he promptly uncovered a scheme led by the Ambassador of Dorande and Baron Gavern Starlock to overthrow the Prince. The prince was very interested in the work of Threepio, but after Threepio stopped Jagoda from being hijacked, he was elevated to the position of Royal Advisor. Starlock's arrest followed, and the previous Royal Advisors were removed from their roles. Jagoda had only recently met Kirk Windjammer, who had observed a transfer of Blasters intended for a Dorande invasion. With Threepio and Windjammer at the helm, the Dorande fleet was defeated, causing them to retreat. C-3PO and R2-D2 departed R-Duba, suggesting Kirk Windjammer as the next Royal Advisor. Jagoda was delighted by their suggestion and quickly decided to lower the tax on maritime commerce.
