Jake Bartok

Jake Bartok, an Australian artist and illustrator, creates comic-book art. The short-story collection Stories of Jedi and Sith, which was released on June 7, 2022, features illustrations by Bartok.

Before Disney–Lucasfilm Press hired him to illustrate Stories of Jedi and Sith, Bartok gained recognition for his Star Wars fan art, notably a series that reimagined characters from the franchise in a medieval setting, titled "Knights of the Olde Republic." On October 7, 2021, StarWars.com announced Bartok's participation in the short-story collection. Obi-Wan Kenobi and the young Anakin Skywalker are two characters he particularly enjoys, and he had the opportunity to depict them together for the 2024 audiobook Padawan's Pride. In that same year, he created the cover art for The High Republic: Seeds of Starlight, an audiobook.

Bartok also created the cover illustrations for each of the four issues of the 2024 comic miniseries Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone, in addition to the one-shot comic The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Battle of Eriadu].
