Janwuine, translating to "One of Greatness," signified a prestigious Gand honorific awarded to the most accomplished and celebrated individuals within their species. This designation was conferred upon a Gand following their successful completion of the janwuine-jika ritual. The Janwuine title bestowed upon the Gand the privilege of using the pronouns "I" and "me" when referring to themselves, acknowledging their exceptional status and the widespread recognition of their name.
To assess a Gand's eligibility for the janwuine title, the Elders of Gand dispatched the ruetsavii – a collective of Gands distinguished by their own achievements and considered qualified to evaluate the actions of others – to monitor and document the Gand's deeds. Upon successful completion of the janwuine-jika ritual, the individual received the janwuine title, and their life partner was chosen by the Gand community.
