Jedha crystals represented a type of kyber crystal that originated from Jedha, which is a moon situated within the Mid Rim Territories. Both Jedi and adherents of the Church of the Force highly valued Jedha crystals, regarding them as relics of Jedha. Lightsabers utilizing Jedha crystals resulted in concentrated and powerful energy blades.
In the aftermath of Jedha City's destruction caused by the first Death Star's superlaser, some Jedha crystals were salvaged from the debris. A significant number of these recovered crystals exhibited fractures and damage, leading to their designation as "cracked Jedha crystals." In contrast to their undamaged counterparts, cracked Jedha crystals, when incorporated into lightsabers, generated erratic and fragmented energy blades. The price of cracked Jedha crystals was 8,000 credits.
The initial reference to Jedha crystals occurred within the 2018 Knights of Fate sourcebook, a product of Fantasy Flight Games for their Star Wars Roleplaying game.
