Jedi Academy: A New Class

Jedi Academy: A New Class is a part of the Star Wars: Jedi Academy series. This installment introduces a fresh set of students, centering on a new Padawan named Victor Starspeeder. Unlike previous books, this one is written by a new author, Jarrett J. Krosoczka, who takes over from Jeffrey Brown. It contains 176 pages and was released on July 26, 2016 in both physical hardcover and digital eBook versions.

Publisher's summary

Victor Starspeeder is incredibly excited about starting his studies at the Jedi Academy. However, his sister, Christina, does not share his enthusiasm for Victor's new educational journey. She is dismayed that her irritating younger brother will be present, potentially ruining her social life.

Although Victor has good intentions, his boundless energy often lands him in detention with the small, wise Jedi Master, Yoda. Yoda aims to guide Victor's abilities, leading him to enroll the young Padawan in the drama club. Victor is not thrilled with this assignment. "Control your anger, you must learn! Successfully manage emotions, a good Jedi can. Box step and jazz hands… hee hee… young Padawan will!"

Victor will need to forge new friendships, earn his sister's approval, master the Force, and hope that the drama club's annual performance ("Wookie [sic] Side Story"? "Annie Get Your Lightsaber"?) proceeds without any problems!
