A Jedi monument served as a remembrance structure, erected by the inhabitants of New Holstice. Its purpose was to honor all the Jedi who had perished from the time of the Galactic Republic's inception. By simply uttering a name, the wings of the memory moth would echo the spoken words indefinitely. These memory moths were subsequently set free within a massive cylinder that housed thousands of others. Following the Battle of Jabiim, Anakin Skywalker inscribed the names of his fallen comrades onto the monument.
