Jedi scout was a designation employed by the Jedi Order for those within the Exploration Corps whose expertise lay in navigating the galaxy to locate uncharted planets and integrate them into the Galactic Republic.
In the time of the Mandalorian Wars, certain Jedi scouts—specifically, those who disagreed with the Jedi High Council's choice of neutrality in the war—secretly traveled to the battlefields to support the Galactic Republic military. During the era of the New Sith Wars their mission was to locate Force-sensitives for recruitment into the Army of Light before the Sith were able to find them. One such individual was Torr Snapit.
