The Jinet system, located within the Brak sector of the Expansion Region, was a star system devoid of any inhabitants and situated remotely. In the period leading up to the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic secretly established a starfighter installation on the planet known as Jinet. This covert base was equipped with a complete squadron of BTL Y-wing starfighters.
