Behind the scenes
The J-1 blaster rifle was featured in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts, before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. The J-1 blaster rifle was incorporated into the game through the updated "Nym's Theme Park," which was launched alongside "Game Update 16," on March 23, 2010.
