Jonat, a sergeant within the Galactic Alliance Guard, held the distinction of being one of Heol Girdun's preferred undercover operatives, and was a woman. Her assignment involved protecting Cal Omas, the former Chief of State. During this assignment, she developed a rapport with Omas, even permitting him to utilize her comlink for communication with his daughter. This act inadvertently enabled Jacen Solo to record their exchange, which he then manipulated to plant the notion in Ben Skywalker's mind that Omas was responsible for the death of his mother, ultimately leading to Omas's demise.
