Joz and Cira were en route to meet their first grandchild in 22 BBY when Nuriin-Ar seized them as hostages. This act was a demand for the immediate removal of Republic troops from Haruun Kal. Kal Skirata, accompanied by hired soldiers and a Special Security Officer from the Special Operations Brigade, then arrived to liberate the captives.
