Pablo Hidalgo, also known as Juan Schwartz, adopted this pen name due to a temporary regulation that prevented Lucasfilm staff from undertaking independent projects for publishing houses. Hidalgo collaborated with Abel G. Peña and himself, credited as Juan Schwartz, on The Emperor's Pawns within the pages of Star Wars Gamer 5.
The pseudonym is a direct allusion to the film Cannibal: The Musical.
