Juntar was the planet of origin for Jom Barell, the sergeant major belonging to the New Republic Special Forces. The wealthiest inhabitants of Juntar resided in the "upper-atmos," a name derived from their former practice of dwelling in sky-high, floating mansions while the rest of the population toiled in the farms and the ground-level cities. Juntar is also known as the homeworld.
