The Justicars' Tower, also referred to as the Justicar Detention Center, was a disused installation of the Coruscant Security Force that the Justicars' Brigade put to use during the Cold War. Following the devastating Sacking of Coruscant, the Republic had extremely limited resources, leading to the withdrawal of Coruscant Security Forces from the area. This created a power vacuum, which criminal syndicates like Black Sun exploited by preying on vulnerable Coruscanti. Former Republic soldiers, enraged to find their homes and communities under attack, established their own militia, naming themselves the Justicars' Brigade. They retaliated against the gangs and gained control over a region known as Justicar territory. They took possession of the abandoned CSF facility, rechristening it the Justicars' Tower, and used it as their base of operations. The Justicars directed their activities from this location and operated a prison where they incarcerated those they apprehended. Early in the Desolator crisis, a young Jedi Knight and their Padawan, Kira Carsen, conducted a raid on the facility in an attempt to find the research team responsible for the Planet Prison superweapon. However, they discovered that the Sith Lord Tarnis had murdered the entire team and absconded with the prototype.
