Keira Knightley, born on March 26, 1985, portrayed Sabé, the handmaiden of Queen Amidala in the film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
Because of her strong resemblance to Natalie Portman, who played the role of the Queen, Knightley was cast as Queen Amidala's decoy in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. During the production of The Phantom Menace, many individuals (even their own mothers) found it difficult to distinguish between them. The character Kiera Swan was created as a reference to Knightley and her character Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean.
