Kelbo was a patron of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina and a member of the M'shento'su'Nikto species. He and his pal Zutmore were known to frequently ask Ackmena for loans of credits.
Even though the M'shento'su'Nikto species' design was based upon Kelbo's look, his racial affiliation wasn't formally established until the 2013 Star Wars Blog post, The Star Wars Holiday Special Cantina: Who's Who.
In addition, Kelbo makes occasional, unpredictable appearances in the non-canon game Star Wars: Yoda Stories.
