The Kessel Correctional Facility served as an Imperial military base situated on the moon of Kessel.
This installation was built directly inside the moon. The facility's most prominent features on the surface were a spacious docking bay alongside a high-powered communications tower. The upper section consisted of four levels. These housed the docking bay, a processing center, and temporary holding cells for slaves. Five levels below were the command center, living spaces for officers, the troop barracks, and living quarters for trustees. The facility met its end when the Death Star prototype discharged its weapon upon the moon.
