The Kilran's Lance functioned as a space station circling the planet known as Aeten Ten, located within Wild Space. During the Cold War era between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, it was under the control of the latter. Due to the actions of turncoats on the station, its defensive capabilities were deactivated, which gave the Republic an opening to initiate a surprise attack. Despite this advantage, the Empire successfully repelled the assault.
