Kirrek, a planet located within the Empress Teta system, holds historical significance as the location of two key conflicts. The Unification Wars saw one battle fought there, as did the Great Hyperspace War with a second battle. During the former, Empress Teta secured her final victory on this world. Conversely, in the latter, the Sith Empire's assault was handily defeated by the forces of the Galactic Republic.
Following the Krath's rise to power in the system throughout the Great Sith War, Kirrek maintained its allegiance to the ousted Lord Keto. Consequently, Satal Keto commanded the annihilation of three cities situated on Kirrek.
The planet was home to a sophisticated civilization that largely sustained itself through the planet's rich and plentiful vegetation.
In the PC game Star Wars: Rebellion, Kirrek is incorrectly situated within the Quelli sector, a misspelling of the actual Quelii sector of the Outer Rim.
