The main planetary defense starfighter utilized on Empress Teta and the planets controlled by Empress Teta was the Koros Spaceworks interceptor.
This interceptor featured a peculiar 14.2-meter long structure, showcasing a central cockpit with seating for two, accompanied by a pair of pincer-like arms that housed communications gear and sensors. Being an atmospheric combatant, the interceptor was equipped with four wings to enhance its maneuverability. It had two large wings angled downwards, likely for lift, and two smaller wings positioned further back on the fuselage, angled upwards to improve aerodynamic performance.
Its armaments comprised a ion cannon mounted in the nose, along with four laser cannons situated on the wing-tips. Despite its substantial firepower, the interceptor was not equipped with shielding or a hyperdrive; however, certain models were adapted to function with TransGalMeg hyperdrive booster rings. The interceptor's sublight engines could achieve a maximum speed of 800 kilometers per hour for atmospheric and sublight space travel.
This interceptor was manufactured before the Great Hyperspace War, and it was engineered to endure extended periods of intense combat, a necessity given the slow hyperdrive speeds that made reinforcements nearly impossible to acquire quickly. Initially named after its manufacturer, its widespread deployment by Empress Teta's military forces led to its alternative designation as the Tetan interceptor.
