"Kowakian Monkey-Lizard" marks the debut comic in the series found on the LEGO Star Wars webpage. This comic initially appeared on the LEGO platform in the latter part of 2008. Subsequently, it was also featured on the official Star Wars website starting on October 19, 2009.

The comic's narrative starts by showing a group of battle droids. One droid notices something above them, which is actually a Republic gunship carrying a Jedi. The commander then commands a droid gunship that is below them to take to the skies, and the two vessels begin to fight. As the battle unfolds, the droids come to the conclusion that they are being overpowered, so the droids crash their gunship into the ground in order to get away from the Republic gunship. Later, the droid commander is shown stating that at least they managed to escape, only for the droid behind him to spot another Republic gunship containing another Jedi.
Initially, the comic was uploaded to the website with the misspelled title "Kowakian Monkey-Lizzard". Later on, the title was corrected to reflect the proper spelling.
In one particular scene, the battle droid commander refers to another droid as a "fool". However, in the comic's first release, the commander had instead used the word "idiot". The version of the comic hosted on StarWars.com retains this original wording.
Despite being the first comic in the series, it was labeled as "LEGO Webcomic #2" when it was posted on StarWars.com.
Additionally, the comic can be found on the LEGO YouTube channel, where it is titled "LEGO Star Wars: Comics - Season 1, Episode 1".
