Krins held a position within the Riftwalkers, a group of pirate marauders under the leadership of Zilastra, in the time of the Republic Era. Once the Riftwalkers had seized the freighter known as the Morleen and transported it to their base, the Riftwalker Compound, found on the planet of Keldooine, Krins, together with pirate companion Tal, went aboard to parley with the ship's proprietor. Contrary to the usual capitulation of those targeted by the Riftwalkers, the pilot brought about the killed demise of both Krins and Tal; Burlug, Zilastra's second-in-command, then informed her of their deaths.
