Kuat Facility

Following the reception of transmissions originating from an Imperial defector during 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance received information concerning a highly classified research installation located within the Kuat system. Uncertain about its importance as a target, High Command instructed Yamarus to dispatch a reconnaissance team to assess the station's value. Ace Azzameen, accompanied by Red Squadron, ventured into the Kuat system, successfully disabling the station's defensive measures and its ability to communicate.

After evaluating the information obtained from examining the station, Yamarus gave the order to destroy the facility. Red Squadron successfully executed this directive, with Azzameen breaching the station's hatch. Piloting his X-wing, he penetrated the station and successfully damaged its reactor core, managing to escape before the station's destruction. This occurred just as the Imperial Star Destroyer known as the Juggernaut arrived in the system.

Within the X-wing game series, Kuat stands out because it is the sole location where the player is required to fly their ship inside the structure to achieve its destruction.
