CL-1c Lancet interceptor

CL-1c Lancet interceptors represented a line of small starfighters originating from Corellian production.

Characteristics

The Lancet, a product of the Corellian Engineering Corporation, was known for its sleek, agile, and compact design. It featured a dart-shaped fuselage, devoid of wings, which transitioned into a single, prominent maneuvering fin. This wingless configuration, coupled with its elongated, sleek-finned fuselage and a potent Ter22 ion engine, enabled the craft to achieve remarkable speed and maneuverability in flight.

Notwithstanding its slender profile, the Lancet accommodated two individuals in a back-to-back arrangement beneath a transparisteel canopy. Typically, a single pilot constituted the operational crew, with the additional seat designated for a passenger. The vessel incorporated long-range communication systems, a hyperdrive, shields, and a dual set of medium laser cannons.

History

These ships served as the main vessels for the Judicial Department of the Galactic Republic. Representing judicial authority, their mere presence instilled fear in the criminal element. A number of these ships saw action during the period of the Battle of Naboo. Following the establishment of the Galactic Empire, these fighters remained in service with both Corsec and the Corellian Defense Force.
