Larry Hama


Larry Hama, born on June 7, 1949, is a comic book author who contributed to a select number of issues of the Marvel Star Wars comic book series.

Hama's career in comics began in the mid-1970s at DC Comics, but he soon transitioned to Marvel Comics to work on John Carter, Warlord of Mars. He achieved significant recognition in the early 1980s as the writer of the licensed series based on G.I. Joe Hasbro action figures. Additionally, he received credit for developing the characters for the animated series of the same name. Later in his career, he authored the gritty war comic series The 'Nam, and the Wolverine comic book series, which featured the well-known Marvel character.

Hama also made appearances in an episode of the television program MASH and the comedy show Saturday Night Live.
