During the Clone Wars, the Royal Onderon Militia employed a weapon known as a laser lance. Functioning as both a close-quarters combat weapon and a ranged blaster type, the laser lance operated by channeling blue energy. This energy would surge from a golden power source, positioned above the hand grip, down the lance's length to its tip, ultimately firing as a blue blaster projectile.
