Liane Trevval, known by the moniker Chalk, was a youthful female Korun insurgent hailing from Haruun Kal. She enlisted in the ranks of the Upland Liberation Front with the purpose of preventing other Korunnai women from experiencing the horrors she had faced. Possessing a robust physique and fiery red hair, she struggled significantly with the articulation of Basic. Early in her life, she suffered abuse at the hands of six Balawai militiamen; subsequently, she and her ghôsh members tracked them down and subjected them to tan pel'trokal.
Chalk demonstrated a natural aptitude for handling heavy weaponry, favoring a Merr-Sonn M-40 light repeating blaster. She provided assistance to Jedi Master Mace Windu during his time on Haruun Kal, ultimately meeting a heroic end during the Battle of Pelek Baw. General Windu honored Chalk by posthumously promoting her to the rank of Officer within the Grand Army of the Republic and bestowing upon her the Medal of Valor. Furthermore, Windu ensured her true name was recorded in the Senate archives. Following her demise, it was revealed that Nick Rostu, a fellow ULF combatant, harbored affections for her, although the reciprocity of these feelings remains uncertain. She shared a force bond with a female Akk dog named Galthra, who descended into madness upon Chalk's death.
