Y-wing light bombers A light bomber referred to a starship that was a bomber, but of a smaller size when compared to other bombers. Examples of this class include the TIE/sa used by the Imperial forces, as well as a Republic variant of the Y-wing which featured a second crew member but lacked a bubble turret. These both are types of bomber.
