Lobel

Lobels, lumbering creatures with four legs, possessed a natural ability to generate intense magnetic fields. These fields disrupted the functionality of navigation systems in their vicinity and, as the stories go, induced headaches in pilots. Though scattered in small populations throughout the galaxy, the toxic planet of Quesh was one of the few species' native homeworlds. Consequently, their gills offered protection against the planet's numerous dangerous fluids. To further enhance their survival in poisonous environments, lobels were equipped with four stomachs. This design incorporated a backup system, allowing other stomachs to take over digestion if one was compromised. Furthermore, the lobel's sluggish metabolism aided in enduring periods of limited food availability.

The Story of its Creation

The lobel's design was initially conceived for Jabba's Palace within Return of the Jedi; however, it was ultimately omitted from the final cut.
